Type of new fixture

Pendant
Pendant - these are hanging pieces and usually have one or a pair of light sources. If unsure, please see the Chandelier description to see how they differ!
Flush Mount or Wall-Sconce
Flush Mount or Wall-Sconce - these are fixed directly to the surface of the ceiling or wall.
Semi-Flush
Semi-Flush - these usually have a small short arm and sit slightly off the ceiling's surface.
Chandelier
Chandelier - these are generally larger & hang from a branched system to handle many light bulbs, unlike pendants.

Ceiling height
Let's get a sense of the height of the space. Scroll down to see a quick reference. Remember to click 'Next' at the bottom to proceed.
This is the 'standard' ceiling height of an average home from a major builder.
Ok, ok, we SEE you. A little above average...nice.
This is usually a double-high space that's essentially the height of two storeys.
Ok, now we want to meet you and interview you...and probably get your autograph.
Pendant Complexity
Please choose the approximate complexity of the fixture.
Simple
A simple pendant has one main chain or rod, and usually no more than 3 bulbs. A classic choice.
Moderate
If you're seeing multiple chains or rods, but not really more than 5, congratulations, you're a person of moderation!
Complex
If you see 5 or more globes, chains, rods, or cables, you've got a complex pendant on your hands!
Chandelier Complexity
Please choose the approximate complexity of the fixture.
Simple
Simple chandeliers generally have level or tier of lights, making them a simpler install than their fancier cousins.
Moderate
If you see multiple tiers, or up to about 20 crystals on your fixture, you can confidently tell your friends you've got yourself a Moderately complex chandelier!
Complex
It's heavy, it's got over 5 rods or chains hanging from a canopy, or enough crystals to daze even Her Majesty...it's a complex chandelier.
Semi-Flush Complexity
Please choose the approximate complexity of the fixture.
Simple
Simple flush mounts generally possess a single bulb or light source - clean and classic!
Moderate
Usually 3 to 5 bulbs and a sporting a medium or large dome, drum or globe. A fine choice!
Complex
More than 5 bulbs? Maybe lots of crystals? Don't fear! You're simply the proud owner of a complex flush mount.
Flush-mount Complexity
Please choose the approximate complexity of the fixture.
Simple
A simple an elegant fixture that has one simple tier, and about 5 bulbs in a simple configuration.
Moderate
More dangling crystals, chains, or rods, but still in one tier? It's likely this is your flush-mount complexity!
Complex
If you see lots of crystals (more than 20) that extend downward in a more complex pattern, this will be your selection!
